# STONEUSD

STONEUSD is a stablecoin yield service within StakeStone 2.0's Neobank Earn module. It is a liquid, yield-bearing token that represents a user's share in a diversified fund of risk-adjusted, market-neutral strategies, empowering stablecoin holders with competitive returns. STONEUSD makes institutional-grade yield easily accessible to everyone.

#### Underlying Strategy & Assets

STONEUSD is backed by a curated basket of low-risk, market-neutral strategies. The current portfolio primarily consists of several arbitrage strategies operated within CEXs (e.g., Binance).

This multi-strategy approach is continuously monitored and analyzed. The portfolio is dynamically adjusted based on market conditions and risk controls, aiming to deliver robust, low-risk, yet competitive stablecoin yields across various market environments.

#### In-Contract Exchange Rate & Yield Distribution

The STONEUSD Exchange Rate within its smart contract defines its USD value (e.g., 1 STONEUSD = X USD). This rate reflects the asset value of the underlying portfolio and is used for permissioned minting and redemption.

Yield accrues directly through the appreciation of this exchange rate. For example, if a user acquires STONEUSD when 1 STONEUSD = 1 USD, and the rate later appreciates to 1.1 USD, the 0.1 USD difference represents the user's earned yield.

The exchange rate is updated regularly to accurately reflect fund performance.

#### Market Price & Instant Liquidity

The Market Price of STONEUSD is its trading price on the open market. While it references the in-contract exchange rate, it is also influenced by supply, demand, and liquidity factors and may not always match it exactly.

StakeStone, in partnership with Native, provides enhanced instant liquidity via a Private Market Making (PMM) solution. This offers users more competitive pricing and execution certainty for larger trade sizes.

This PMM liquidity can be accessed directly through StakeStone's interface or via major aggregators.

#### How to Use STONEUSD

**Permissionless Swap (For All Users):**\
STONEUSD is freely tradable and transferable. Any user can buy or sell STONEUSD on the secondary market at the prevailing market price.<br>

**Permissioned Mint / Redeem (For Institutions & Whales):**\
Users and institutions requiring larger sizes or stronger price certainty can contact the StakeStone team. After completing KYC/KYB and obtaining whitelist access, they can mint STONEUSD at the contract rate. Redemptions are processed on a weekly basis.

#### Multi-Chain Availability

STONEUSD is deployed across multiple blockchains for easy integration into the broader DeFi ecosystem. Users can bridge their STONEUSD between supported chains directly via the dedicated Bridge page.
